Music legend Majek Fashek dies at 57
The musician whose real name was Majekodunmi Fasheke, has been sick for years and has been in hospital. He died last night in his sleep in New York.
His 1988 album, Prisoner of Conscience, which had his multiple award winning hit single like “Send Down The Rain”, put him on global map.
The artist said Bob Marley was a major influence as a consequence his musical style and looks mirrored the Jamaican legend.
